III Międzynarodowa Konferencja Zagrożenia i wyzwania bezpieczeństwa współczesnego świata.
Wymiar społeczno-kulturowy.

In 2019, FBPN was a co-organizer of the 3rd International Conference on Threats and Security Challenges of the Modern World. The organizers of the conference received a grant for its implementation as part of the project No. 00212/2019/AJ of the Polish-German Foundation. The conference was held on November 25-26, 2019. It was attended by scientists and entrepreneurs from Germany and other EU countries and third countries. The topic of the conference was a continuation of the considerations and presentation of research results during the two previous editions of this conference, which focused on the changes in the international environment in various dimensions. The analysis of the dynamics of couplings occurring in the internal and external environment of the state and its surroundings is the overriding goal of this conference, in particular the analysis of the complexity and interdependence of threats and security challenges in the modern world in conditions occurring at the domestic and international level, as well as the analysis of those undertaken at the level of states and the international environment activities to ensure cultural and social security in the time of globalization. The result of these studies were Polish and foreign scientific articles published in two scientific monographs.

This time, the main topic of discussion was the socio-cultural dimension. Almost 80 military and civilian experts from seven European countries actively participated in the conference, whose speeches and discussions were broadcast live on the Internet. The very idea of the conference is the idea of dr hab. Izabeli Oleksiewicz, prof. NS. This year, however, we managed to co-organize the first conference with partners from foreign universities and in cooperation with the Doctrine and Training Center of the Armed Forces, as part of the NUP2X35 campaign. The main goal of the present conference is to analyze the complexity and interdependence of threats and challenges in the field of military and non-military security in the contemporary world, with particular emphasis on the socio-cultural dimension. During the scientific debate, an analysis will be made of the changes taking place in the international and domestic environment and the resulting actions taken by the Polish state and the international community to ensure cultural and social security in the era of globalization.

The sessions were accompanied by demonstrations of weapons and equipment as well as pyrotechnic shows conducted by the army, the Border Guard, the Customs Service and the Airport Security Guard operating at the airport near Rzeszów. During the conference, among others, about the current geopolitical situation, current military threats in Europe, the current condition of NATO, security policy and defense doctrines of the USA, China, Russia, Poland and other European countries participating in the conference, about cybersecurity issues, as well as about threats and challenges to the international order, security and development of states, protection of the population and life of an individual resulting from the dynamics of technological and civilization development, inequalities in access to energy resources, demographic and migration processes, inefficiencies of the existing protective infrastructures and their susceptibility to destabilization and destruction. The discussions made participants and listeners aware of the existence of significant discrepancies in the perception and assessment of the discussed phenomena from the perspective of individual countries. This useful initiative would not be possible without the support of the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation and companies understanding the idea of corporate social responsibility: Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, Huta Stalowa Wola with the organizational involvement of the army, the Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport Management Board and services responsible for security and security at the Port of Rzeszów Aviation, and also without financial, which deserve heartfelt thanks.
